Behavioural Consultation

When a child's behaviour feels overwhelming, the right strategies change everything. Our Family Behaviour Consultation (FBC) program gives parents and caregivers one-to-one support to understand behaviour and respond in calm, practical ways. Through coaching, observation and planning together, we help your family build emotional regulation, stronger communication, and predictable routines at home and in the community.

Understanding the funding (FSCD)

Behavioural Consultation is available for children birth to 17 through Alberta's Family Support for Children with Disabilities program. Contracts come directly through your FSCD caseworker, who connects your family with Transitions. New to FSCD? Call (780) 427-4354 (option 3).

How it works

1. Call (780) 458-7371 and ask to speak to the Behavioural Consultant.
2. New to FSCD? Call (780) 427-4354 and select option 3.
3. Your FSCD caseworker connects your family with Transitions.
4. We begin individualized, one-to-one support.
