Adult Services

Flexible, person-centred in-home and community support for adults 18+ on PDD funding — built around each person's own goals.

Overview

Every adult deserves to lead their own life. In Adult Services, we start with the person — their goals, their choices, their community — and build support around them. We work alongside each adult, their family and their support network to create a plan that reflects what matters most, and we make sure everyone we support is actively involved in the decisions that shape their life.

What we offer

  • An Individualized Support Plan (ISP) built around your goals.
  • 24/7 in-home support, or 5–40 hours of weekly community support.
  • Help to find work or volunteer roles, build friendships and use public transit.
  • Home and life skills, budgeting, and finding your places in the community.
  • Housing support — including help finding a compatible roommate.
Understanding the funding (PDD)
Adult Services is for people who are at least 18, have a diagnosed developmental disability, receive funding from Alberta's Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PDD) program, and live in St. Albert.

How it works

PDD shares a registry of people seeking support; our team reviews it for a potential fit based on your needs and our capacity.

If there's a possible match, we contact your PDD caseworker and invite you and your guardian(s) to an initial meeting.

We meet — no decisions that day. Take the time you need, and meet potential roommates if that applies.

If it's the right fit, we request PDD approval and agree on a start date. Support begins.
