Your privacy matters
We collect only the information we need to help you, keep it secure and in Canada, and never sell it.

- Donations are processed securely by Stripe — we never see your full card number.
- We never sell or rent your personal information.
This policy explains what personal information Transitions collects through this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Our guiding principle is simple: collect as little as possible, use it only for the reason you gave it, and protect it.
What we collect, and why
When you contact us. If you send a message through our contact form, we collect your name, email address and whatever you write in your message — so we can reply and help.
When you ask about a program. If you use an inquiry form on a program page, we collect the details you choose to share (such as your name, email, phone number and, for children’s programs, a child’s age) so we can answer your questions and connect you with the right support.
When you apply for a job. If you apply through our careers page, we collect your name, email address and the résumé and cover letter you send — to consider you for the role. We keep applications only for the hiring process and a reasonable period afterward, then securely delete them.
When you donate. Donations are handled securely by Stripe, our payment processor. Stripe collects the payment details needed to process your gift; Transitions does not collect or store your full credit-card number. We receive the information we need to issue your receipt and thank you.
Analytics — and no tracking
We use Fathom Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how people use our site — which pages are popular, for example. Fathom is privacy-first by design: it does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites, and does not collect personal information about you. We chose it specifically so we can improve the site without watching individuals.
Cookies
We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don’t build profiles of visitors. Because of that, you won’t find a cookie-consent banner cluttering this site.
Where your information lives
Our website and the information submitted through its forms are hosted in Canada. Keeping data in Canada means it’s handled under Canadian privacy law.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with the service providers that help us operate — for example Stripe (to process donations), Fathom (for privacy-friendly analytics) and our Canadian hosting and website platform. These providers are permitted to use your information only to provide their service to us. We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purpose you gave it, or as required by law — then we securely delete or de-identify it. If you’d like us to remove your information sooner, just ask.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it if it’s wrong, or ask us to delete it. To make a request, contact us using the details below — we may need to confirm your identity first.
Children’s privacy
This website is intended for parents, caregivers, supporters and job seekers. We don’t knowingly collect personal information directly from children through the site. Information about a child in an inquiry is provided by a parent or caregiver.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our website or practices change. When we do, we’ll revise the date below.
