Jump Start Program

Jump Start is a three-day interactive learning experience designed to provide Community Living employees with the opportunity to expand their understanding of their roles and responsibilities as direct support professionals. Jump Start offers employees an opportunity to explore their own values in relation to the values of Transitions, to challenge their assumptions and biases, and to understand the ways in which people with disabilities have been oppressed throughout history and continue to be oppressed in the present day. Upon completion of the course, employees will be empowered to advocate and to support others in self-advocacy. Employees will have the tools to incorporate creativity, innovation, and fun into their daily work!
